Meccan, 19 verses
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
When the sky is torn apart
and when the stars are scattered
and when the seas are flooded (and overflowed)
and when the graves are turned upside down,
a person knows what it has sent ahead and put off.
Human being, what deceived you about your noble Lord?
The One Who created you, then He shaped you and balanced you,
and He put you together in whatever form He wanted.
No way, but you deny the Judgment,
while indeed there are observers over you,
nobles writing down,
who know whatever you do.
Indeed the good ones will be in delight,
and the immoral ones will be in hellfire.
They enter (and burn in) there on the Judgment Day,
and they will not be absent from it.
And how would you know what the Judgment Day is?
And again, how would you know what the Judgment Day is?
A day when a person will not have the least bit of power for another one, and on that day the command (and judgment) belongs to God.
